A dedicated Board of Directors composed of community members, parents, school personnel, and students encourages creative and innovative learning that enhances the curriculum. They award grants for enrichment projects and help with the raising of funds.
The Chatham Education Foundation is seeking a community member to fill a vacant Board of Directors seat. Learn more and apply here.
Area artists and others who feel excited about sharing more opportunities for learning in the Chatham schools are encouraged to obtain a grant application, due in October each year. Grant requests should describe the proposed project along with the goals for learning, the cost, and in-kind donations and other funding sources, if any.
Chatham Education Foundation 2025-26 Grants
The Chatham Education Foundation (CEF) was established in 2002 with the help of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation. Along with the creation of CEF, the organization established its first fund, CEF’s Fund for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities. This fund was created to introduce and engage students in new, creative and innovative projects in the arts and humanities. It is specifically dedicated to supporting projects in the creative realm for the students of Chatham Central School District. Grants are given yearly and are due in October of each year for the CEF to review and approve or disapprove.
The Grants Application cycle is now closed and will reopen in the Fall of 2026
